Capt. Samuel P. Larson
Executive Vice President, Group B3
Sun Country Capt. Samuel Larson was elected executive vice president, Group B3, of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l, on Sept. 19, 2025, to fill a vacancy in this position. He assumed this post on Oct. 1, 2025, and will complete the term of office, which ends on Dec. 31, 2026.
Capt. Larson is a Boeing B-737 pilot based in Minneapolis, Minn., and also acts as the current chair and captain representative of Sun Country’s Local Executive Council #15. He previously served as vice chair and seniority block representative for the former Compass Airlines Master Executive Council (MEC). While with Compass, Larson was also the Compass MEC Contract Grievance Committee chair and a member of the pilot group’s Negotiating Committee.
Capt. Larson has a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation from the Minnesota State University—Mankato, and lives with his wife and children in Savage, Minn.
