Jazz Aviation Pilots’ Union Elects Leadership for Upcoming Term

TORONTO, Ont.—Yesterday, Jazz Aviation pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int'l (ALPA), elected four officers for a two-year term commencing February 7, 2026, and ending February 6, 2028.

Captain Gil Renaud was elected chair of the Jazz Aviation Master Executive Council (MEC). Captain Renaud is a CRJ-900 pilot based in Montréal.

Captain Michael Wimmer was elected as vice chair. Captain Paul Iafolla was elected to serve as MEC secretary. Captain Jaspal Brah was elected to serve as MEC treasurer.

The Jazz MEC represents approximately 1,200 pilots and maintains 18 standing committees, supporting pilots in areas including safety, benefits, grievance, negotiations, training, and scheduling. Jazz Aviation operates to 46 destinations in Canada and 24 in the United States from bases in Calgary, Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver.
