Pilots of ALPA 2026

As ALPA enters its 95th year, the strength of the Association continues to rest with its pilot groups—and the more than 80,000 line pilots whose dedication to their profession sustains aviation safety and shapes the future of the industry across the United States and Canada. ALPA’s pilot groups reflect a remarkable diversity of operations, yet they are bound by a common purpose and shared professionalism.
Today’s pilots operate in an environment marked by rapid change: evolving technology; shifting regulatory priorities; and persistent pressures on scheduling, training, and quality of life. Despite all this, ALPA remains the leading voice for airline pilots in North America, and our members remain united by a steadfast commitment to collective advocacy.
Each ALPA pilot group is different, with a distinct mix of aircraft, cultures, and operational realities, but their collective strength is essential to the pursuit of industry-leading contracts and in the Association’s unwavering safety advocacy.
These pilot group profiles offer insight into who ALPA’s pilots are, where they fly, and the issues that matter most to them.
