JetBlue Pilots Respond to Company’s Disappointing Fourth Quarter Financial Results
Today, the JetBlue Airways pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), responded to JetBlue’s lackluster financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2025. ALPA and JetBlue have been engaged in negotiations for a pilot collective bargaining agreement since April 30, 2024. Capt. Wayne Scales, chairman of the JetBlue pilots’ Master Executive Council, issued the following statement:
“JetBlue pilots are the reliable backbone of this airline. As professional airline pilots, our commitment—to our craft, our passengers, and the long-term viability of JetBlue—has been consistent and unwavering.
“However, the Company’s continued financial underperformance cannot be treated as inevitable or indefinite. It is both reasonable—and necessary—to expect that management translates the tireless efforts of its employees into profits.
“As committed as we are to the future of JetBlue, lasting success depends on management bringing its pilots forward with a contract that provides career advancements and security for JetBlue pilots.”
Founded in 1931, ALPA is the largest airline pilot union in the world and represents more than 80,000 pilots at 42 U.S. and Canadian airlines, including the nearly 4,700 JetBlue pilots. Visit ALPA.org or follow us on X @ALPAPilots.
