Building a Stronger MEC Framework for 2026 and Beyond

The CommuteAir Master Executive Council (MEC) spent 2025 enhancing and implementing a letter of agreement (LOA) that was signed in November 2024 to extend the pilot group’s contract through December 31, 2028.

“We’ve been focusing on reinforcing the foundation that supports our pilots,” said Capt. Liam Corcoran, CommuteAir ALPA MEC chair. “This priority has shaped every initiative we’ve pursued—from broadening our committee structure to strengthening our engagement with the company on matters related to our collective bargaining agreement.”

Throughout 2025, the MEC committed to building an organizational framework that truly serves the needs of the pilot group. This included strengthening existing committees and establishing new ones—including the Contract Compliance Committee and the Pilot-to-Pilot Committee. Each committee includes dedicated pilot volunteers who provide timely, specialized support across the operation.

The MEC continues to engage with CommuteAir management with purpose and persistence, advocating for every pilot on the property.

Our agreement shows CommuteAir is taking proactive steps to attract and retain the highly skilled pilots necessary for continued operational success.
